1. ICT Manager – Business Systems & Applications
Reports to: Head of ICT
Responsible for overseeing the management, support, integration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the bank’s business systems and enterprise applications to ensure operational efficiency, business continuity, and alignment with organizational objectives.
Key Duties
- Managing and overseeing enterprise applications, business systems, and related digital platforms
- Leading implementation, integration, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications
- Ensuring optimal performance, availability, security, and reliability of all business systems
- Coordinating system upgrades, patches, testing, deployment, and change management
- Collaborating with business units to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technology solutions
- Managing relationships with software vendors, service providers, and implementation partners
- Overseeing user access management, system configurations, and application security controls
- Supporting business continuity and disaster recovery planning for enterprise applications
- Supervising and appraising staff within the Business Systems and Applications function
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Software Engineering
- Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, COBIT, Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, or CISSP are an added advantage
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in ICT, Systems Administration, or Enterprise Applications, 3 of which must be in a management position
2. Business Development Manager
Reports to: Branch Manager
Responsible for driving business growth, customer acquisition, and revenue generation for the bank through strategic planning, product marketing, and relationship management.
Key Duties
- Delivering business performance through marketing of bank products
- Ensuring optimum productivity, quality loan book, and operational efficiency
- Supporting growth of a high-quality loan book as per set targets
- Developing customer loan facility proposals compliant with bank credit standards
- Marketing new liability accounts in line with deposit mobilization targets
- Identifying and understanding client needs and delivering solutions per bank policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in banking sales or business development
- Strong credit risk management skills
- Strong customer service orientation and commercial awareness
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to generate new business
- Good knowledge of CBK Prudential guidelines and the bank’s KYC policy
3. Information Systems Auditor
Reports to: Head of Internal Audit
Responsible for reviewing and evaluating the bank’s automated information processing systems, related non-automated processes, and interfaces between them to ensure information system controls are in place and policies are adhered to.
Key Duties
- In charge of the Information System audit function of the Internal Audit Department
- Developing and implementing the annual Information Systems audit plan
- Ensuring the bank develops and maintains sound Information System policies and procedures that minimize risks without compromising efficiency
- Assessing risks inherent in the bank’s information systems and recommending mitigation measures
- Providing system investigation services whenever required
- Assisting the Risk department with technical expertise to ensure ICT risks are well managed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT-related field
- Professional qualification in CISA and/or CISM is required
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA and CCSP are an added advantage
- Advanced ACL skills and/or other audit skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in information systems audit
- Excellent analytical skills and great attention to detail
- Broad knowledge of information systems and operations in view of internal audit objectives
4. Information Security Officer
Reports to: Information Security Manager
Responsible for safeguarding the bank’s information assets, systems, networks, and digital infrastructure against threats, breaches, and unauthorized access while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations and best practices.
Key Duties
- Implementing and monitoring information security policies, procedures, and controls
- Identifying and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents
- Conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability testing
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory cybersecurity requirements
- Providing staff training and awareness on information security practices
- Supporting ICT risk management across the bank
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CISM, CISSP, CEH, or equivalent are required
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in information security or cybersecurity roles
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat management, and regulatory compliance
5. ESG & Climate Risk Officer
Reports to: Head of Risk and Compliance
Responsible for implementing a robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Climate Risk framework within the bank’s operations and decision-making processes, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability and responsible finance.
Key Duties
- Developing and implementing ESG and climate risk management frameworks and policies
- Assessing and monitoring ESG-related risks including climate change, environmental sustainability, and governance risks
- Ensuring compliance with local and international ESG regulations and sustainability standards
- Collaborating with risk, compliance, and strategy teams to integrate ESG factors into enterprise risk management
- Tracking and reporting key ESG risk indicators and sustainability performance metrics
- Engaging with regulators, investors, and stakeholders to promote ESG transparency
- Supporting development of sustainable finance initiatives and green lending policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Risk Management, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications in ESG or sustainability risk are an added advantage
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in ESG risk management, climate risk, or sustainability practices
- Knowledge of ESG regulatory frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, SASB, or IFRS Sustainability Standards
6. Debt Recovery Officer
Reports to: Debt Recovery Manager
Responsible for managing the non-performing asset portfolio of the bank, including debt recovery, restructuring, and maintaining quality of the loan book.
Key Duties
- Managing and coordinating recovery of non-performing loans
- Engaging with defaulting customers and negotiating repayment arrangements
- Implementing debt recovery strategies in line with bank policies and legal frameworks
- Monitoring the quality of the loan book and preparing recovery reports
- Liaising with legal counsel on litigation matters relating to loan recovery
- Maintaining accurate records of recovery actions and outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in debt recovery, credit, or loan management in a banking environment
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Knowledge of CBK guidelines on credit and loan recovery
7. Project Analyst
Reports to: Manager, Credit Analysis
Responsible for analysis of construction loans and other project-related loan applications as well as supporting ongoing projects to ensure that financial and operational objectives are met.
Key Duties
- Analysing construction loans and project-related loan applications
- Supporting the planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of bank projects
- Preparing project reports, feasibility assessments, and financial projections
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery within scope and budget
- Identifying project risks and recommending mitigation measures
- Maintaining project documentation and tracking milestones
Qualifications

8. Officer – Digital Banking
Reports to: Manager, Digital Banking
Responsible for the development of digital products, review of strategic business challenges, and providing solutions through digital banking channels to enhance customer experience and drive adoption.
Key Duties
- Supporting development and enhancement of digital banking products and services
- Managing digital banking operations including mobile and internet banking platforms
- Monitoring digital channel performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Coordinating with ICT and business teams to resolve digital banking issues
- Driving customer adoption and engagement on digital platforms
- Ensuring compliance with digital banking regulations and security standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field

9. ICT Officer – Business Systems & Applications
Reports to: ICT Manager, Business Systems & Applications
Responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing the bank’s business applications and ICT systems to ensure smooth and reliable operations.
Key Duties
- Supporting the management and maintenance of business applications and enterprise systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues and incidents
- Assisting in system upgrades, patches, and change management processes
- Coordinating user support, training, and documentation for business systems
- Monitoring system performance and generating regular utilization reports
- Ensuring adherence to ICT governance and information security requirements
Qualifications

10. Business Development Officers
Reports to: Branch Manager
Responsible for delivering business performance through marketing of bank products while ensuring optimum productivity, quality loan book, and strong customer relationship management.
Key Duties
- Supporting the credit function by ensuring growth of a high-quality loan book per set targets
- Developing customer loan facility proposals compliant with bank credit policy
- Marketing new liability accounts and mobilizing deposits in line with targets

11. Product Development Officer
Reports to: Relevant Head of Department
Responsible for researching, designing, developing, and enhancing banking products and services to meet customer needs, drive competitiveness, and grow the bank’s product portfolio.
Key Duties
- Conducting market research to identify customer needs and product gaps
- Designing and developing new banking products across retail, SME, and digital segments
- Enhancing existing products to improve customer experience and competitiveness
- Coordinating product launches and go-to-market strategies with relevant departments
- Monitoring product performance and proposing improvements based on data and customer feedback
- Ensuring regulatory compliance for all new and existing products
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in product development or product management in a banking or financial services environment

12. Branch Manager
Reports to: Head of Retail & SME
Responsible for running an effective and efficient branch leading to higher profitability and growth in line with the bank’s strategy, while overseeing all branch operations, customer service, and staff performance.
Key Duties
- Implementing the bank’s strategy at branch level to grow the customer base with concurrent growth in branch liabilities and assets
- Overseeing customer service delivery, maintenance, and improvement of Retail Banking service standards
- Formulating and implementing branch business plans, forecasts, and budgets with periodic reviews
- Supervising, motivating, and appraising branch staff to ensure high performance
- Ensuring operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements at branch level
- Managing relationships with key clients and growing the branch loan book
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or a related field
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in banking operations, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role
- Strong leadership, sales, and customer relationship management skills
- Good knowledge of CBK Prudential guidelines and banking regulations
