Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring general cleanliness of offices and equipment
- Collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with established procedures
- Moving or carrying office equipment and furniture and ensuring orderly arrangement
- Arranging meeting venues and supporting logistics for scheduled meetings
- Circulating files and mails for action by officers within the department
- Requisitioning office general supplies as required
- Operating basic office equipment
- Keeping inventory of kitchen equipment
- Collecting, dispatching, and delivery of mails
- Performing office and messengerial duties as assigned
- Ensuring safe custody of office facilities
- Identifying, reporting, and following up on office repairs and maintenance needs
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean Grade of D (Plain) from the Kenya National Examinations Council or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Fulfilment of the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya

- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
- Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
- Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
