About the Role
The Field Officer will support the implementation of CTK’s regenerative agriculture and climate resilience project in Nambale Sub-County, Busia County. This initiative works with smallholder farmers, women, and youth to promote climate-smart agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, community learning, and environmental stewardship through onsite and field-based engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day implementation of CTK’s regenerative agriculture and climate resilience project activities in Nambale Sub-County
- Mobilise and engage smallholder farmers, women groups, and youth in project activities and community learning sessions
- Facilitate onsite and field-based training on climate-smart agriculture practices and sustainable livelihoods
- Coordinate with local community leaders, government extension officers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation
- Conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and document outcomes, success stories, and lessons learnt
- Support data collection, reporting, and documentation of field activities
- Assist in organising community events, farmer field days, and stakeholder engagement forums
- Promote environmental stewardship and awareness of climate change adaptation practices within the community
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to the project coordinator
