About the Role
The Finance & Admin Intern will support the smooth running of Child.org’s finance and operational activities in Kenya. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical experience in finance, administration, and office coordination within the non-profit sector. The intern will work closely with the Finance and Operations team to help ensure efficient internal processes and provide administrative support across the organisation’s programmes and office functions.
Main Responsibilities
Finance Support
- Coordinate and process staff travel claims, ensuring supporting documentation is complete
- Prepare payment support documentation and liaise with staff to gather approvals and receipts
- File and organise financial documents and records on shared systems
- Support month-end filing and reconciliation processes
- Assist with supplier sourcing and communication
- Verify supplier information and payment details in line with procurement procedures
Administration & Operations
- Manage meeting room bookings and support meeting coordination
- Take meeting notes and circulate actions where required
- Order and track office supplies across locations
- Organise and maintain shared digital folders and filing systems
- Support staff travel and accommodation bookings
- Prepare letters, forms, and other administrative documents
- Maintain inventory lists and asset registers
- Coordinate office maintenance issues with landlords and service providers
- Support event and programme logistics including transport coordination and setup
- Any other duties assigned by the lead
