Neuce Kenya Paint Ltd is hiring a Technical Accountant based in Nairobi. This role is open to detail-oriented finance professionals with a CPA-K or ACCA qualification and at least 3–5 years of technical accounting or audit experience. If you have strong IFRS knowledge and want to grow within a dynamic international paint manufacturing company, apply before Saturday, 25th April 2026.
About This Role
As Technical Accountant at Neuce Kenya, you will be responsible for accurate financial reporting, IFRS compliance, and direct support to the Audit Team. This is a technical finance role — not a general accounting position. You will be expected to handle complex accounting transactions, review them for accuracy, and provide guidance to the wider team on how to treat them correctly.
Beyond the numbers, you will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and supporting both internal and external audit processes. You will also contribute to policy development — documenting accounting procedures and ensuring the organisation’s financial practices are consistent, compliant, and well-governed.
This role suits someone who is analytically sharp, comfortable working with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements, and able to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all accounting activities comply with IFRS and applicable accounting standards across the business.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules accurately and on schedule.
- Support internal and external audit processes, providing documentation and technical explanations as required.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems to safeguard the organisation’s financial integrity.
- Review complex accounting transactions and provide technical guidance to the finance team on correct treatment.
- Assist in the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyse financial data to identify discrepancies, anomalies, or areas requiring improvement.
- Provide technical accounting support and advice to management on financial matters.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA-K or ACCA qualification — candidates in final stages of either qualification will be considered.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in technical accounting or audit.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements in Kenya.
- Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office applications.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a manufacturing company or multinational environment.
- Familiarity with audit support in a regulated industry.
- Experience documenting accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
Skills and Competencies
- IFRS and statutory compliance — deep, practical knowledge of international financial reporting standards as applied in Kenya.
- Financial statement preparation and review — ability to produce and scrutinise complex financial reports with accuracy.
- Audit support — experience engaging with internal and external auditors and providing required documentation.
- Internal controls — understanding of control frameworks and how to design and monitor them effectively.
- Analytical thinking — ability to examine large volumes of financial data and identify what matters.
- Accounting systems proficiency — comfortable working in ERP or accounting software environments alongside MS Office.
