About IEBC
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is Kenya’s constitutionally established body responsible for conducting free, fair, and credible elections and referenda. The Commission oversees voter registration, electoral boundary delimitation, and the conduct of all elections in Kenya, including Parliamentary By-Elections.
Available Positions
1. Voter Educator Pay: Ksh 2,000/day (Constituency-based) | Ksh 1,500/day (Ward-based)
Voter Educators are responsible for educating and sensitising the electorate on voter registration, the electoral process, and civic participation ahead of the By-Election. They conduct community outreach, awareness campaigns, and voter mobilisation activities across their assigned constituency or ward.
2. Presiding Officer & Deputy Presiding Officer Pay: Presiding Officer – Ksh 2,000/day | Deputy Presiding Officer – Ksh 1,800/day Location: Ol Kalou Constituency
The Presiding Officer is in charge of a polling station on election day, overseeing the entire voting process, managing polling staff, maintaining order, and ensuring that the election is conducted in accordance with IEBC guidelines and the Elections Act. The Deputy Presiding Officer supports the Presiding Officer in all station management duties.

3. Support Electoral Trainers (SET) Pay: Ksh 2,000/day
Support Electoral Trainers are responsible for training polling day staff including Presiding Officers, Deputy Presiding Officers, and Clerks on electoral procedures, the use of the Kenya Integrated Electoral Management System (KIEMS) kit, and polling day protocols. SETs play a critical role in ensuring all election-day personnel are fully prepared and competent before the By-Election.

4. Clerk (Polling / Tallying / Queuing / Charging) Pay: Ksh 1,000/day
Clerks support the smooth running of polling stations on election day by performing specific functions including managing voter queues, verifying voter identification, tallying votes, and charging KIEMS kits. Each Clerk is assigned a specific role — Queuing, Polling, Tallying, or Charging — based on IEBC requirements at their assigned station.
