About the Role
The Finance Trainee will administer finance processes and policies related to two or more Finance Job Families — for example, a combination of Record to Report (RTR), Purchase to Pay (PTP), and Controlling activities — by developing, maintaining, and providing financial information, plans, and projections for the business in line with finance plans and processes, accounting standards, policies, and the applicable legal framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct tasks and activities related to Controlling and Accounting as per laid-down standards and guidelines
- Provide input on the interpretation and understanding of finance matters, including explaining facts, processes, and practices related to finance as required by customers and stakeholders
- Identify and resolve issues as per defined financial processes, systems, and methods
- Perform tasks and interactions that mostly address immediate finance issues, such as producing and validating data and numbers
- Improve the quality of internal and external financial data
- Respond to enquiries and provide information related to finance across the organisation
- Administer finance processes and policies related to two or more Finance Job Families for the defined organisation under supervision
- Gather data and information and perform analysis of financial studies to prepare summary reports for management and to develop forward-looking financial insights
Stakeholder Engagement
- Explain facts, policies, and practices related to the job area clearly and professionally
- Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own sub-function
- Develop a network of contacts to build up relationships and strengthen organisational, product, and market knowledge
Management Responsibility
- Individual contributor without direct responsibility for leading others — ideal for a fresh graduate building foundational finance experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field — or equivalent experience/qualification
- Fresh graduate — no prior professional experience required
- Strong analytical and numerical aptitude
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications is an advantage
