This Personal Assistant PAC University Nairobi 2026 role is open to candidates with a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of high-level executive support experience. The application deadline is 12 May 2026 — send your application well before it closes.
About This Role
This is a senior administrative support role sitting directly within the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs. You will be the operational anchor of a busy university leadership office, managing the DVC’s schedule, coordinating meetings, handling travel and events, and ensuring that the office runs efficiently day to day.
The role calls for someone who can exercise independent judgment, maintain strict confidentiality, and represent the DVC’s office professionally when engaging with staff, students, and external stakeholders. Given the academic environment, you will regularly interface with faculty, departmental heads, and institutional partners — so your communication and interpersonal skills need to be sharp.
This role suits someone who has previously supported a C-suite or senior executive, understands the demands of a complex institutional environment, and is a committed Christian actively involved in a local church — as PAC University is a faith-based institution and this is a stated requirement for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the DVC’s diary, schedule appointments, and coordinate all internal and external meetings
- Provide day-to-day office administrative support to ensure smooth running of the DVC Academic Affairs office
- Coordinate travel logistics including bookings, itineraries, and travel documentation for the DVC
- Plan and support the execution of events, workshops, and university functions linked to the Academic Affairs docket
- Manage correspondence, draft communications, and maintain organised filing systems
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal departments, academic staff, and external stakeholders on behalf of the DVC
- Handle multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive institutional information and communications

- Earned Master’s degree in Administration, Public Relations, or a closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience providing high-level administrative support in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision
- Advanced organisational skills and capacity to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work professionally with culturally diverse staff and stakeholders
- Must be a born-again Christian and an active member of a local church
Desirable:
- Diploma in IT or Secretarial Studies
Skills and Competencies
