1. Research Interns — 2 Posts
Location: Migori | Type: Full-time | Qualification: Diploma
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to good clinical practice within a research environment
- Develop standard operating procedures for research studies
- Collect data and manage study participants
- Obtain informed consent and maintain confidentiality
- Handle study data in accordance with ethical standards
- Support project operations as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma in Community Health Nursing and Midwifery, Community Health and Development, Nutrition, Social Work, or a related field
- 1–5 years post-graduation experience
- Must be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age
- Willing to live and work in Migori — mandatory
- Nurses must hold a valid practising licence registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya
- Certificate of Good Conduct required
- Passionate about maternal and child health and community health research
- Strong analytical, report writing, and interpersonal skills
Interns will be expected to take up personal accident cover and medical insurance independently.
2. Farm Trainer — 2 Posts
Location: Migori | Type: Contract (minimum 1 year) | Qualification: KCSE
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain study model farms and demonstration plots
- Deliver theoretical and practical training on vegetable production
- Monitor farm productivity and track produce distribution
- Provide one-on-one guidance to participants on sustainable farming practices
- Support agricultural input logistics in collaboration with the Agriculture Training Coordinator
- Collect training data using REDCap-based assessments
- Conduct home visit interviews and report participant progress
Requirements
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
- Formal agriculture training or equivalent hands-on experience
- Minimum 3 years’ practical farming or agricultural extension experience, preferably with rural communities
- Basic knowledge of crop production, soil conservation, and integrated pest management
- Must be willing to reside in Migori County for at least one year
- Experience training smallholder farmers, women groups, or youth is an added advantage
- Strong communication skills in a community setting
3. Data Officer — 1 Post
Location: Nairobi | Type: Contract | Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine data quality and control audits on study data
- Compile, clean, transcribe, and submit data reports to research investigators
- Coordinate ancillary studies on site
- Prepare daily and weekly data reports
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, networks, and printers
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
- Design, improve, and maintain live databases and backup systems
- Train and orient staff on technology systems, guidelines, and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related data management field
- Professional certification in analytics or database management — mandatory
- Strong skills in database development and statistical analysis
- Good written and oral communication skills
