Guaranty Trust Bank (Kenya) Limited — part of the GTCO Group — is hiring a Digital Banking Officer to join their Kenya team. This is a full-time banking role requiring 3–5 years of experience in digital banking, transactional banking, or digital channels sales. Send your CV to jobske@gtbank.com before the deadline of 30 April 2026.
About This Role
The Digital Banking Officer GTBank Kenya 2026 role sits within the bank’s digital channels function, focused on driving adoption, sales, and performance of GTBank Kenya’s digital banking products and platforms. You will be expected to understand both the technical and commercial side of digital banking — from regulatory compliance and AML frameworks to customer engagement and channel sales.
GTBank Kenya operates under the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) regulatory framework and as part of the wider GTCO Group, which spans over ten countries across Africa and the UK. This gives you exposure to one of Africa’s most recognised banking brands while working in the Kenyan market.
This role suits someone who combines banking operations knowledge with a sales mindset — someone who can read data, engage stakeholders, and push digital channel growth in a competitive Kenyan banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive adoption and usage of GTBank Kenya’s digital banking channels including mobile banking, internet banking, and agency banking platforms
- Manage and grow digital channels sales, meeting set targets for customer acquisition and transaction volumes
- Monitor digital banking system performance and escalate operational issues to the relevant technology and operations teams
- Ensure all digital banking activities comply with CBK regulations, AML requirements, and GTBank internal policies
- Prepare regular performance reports on digital channel metrics, transaction trends, and customer behaviour for management review
- Coordinate with internal teams — operations, IT, compliance, and branch staff — to resolve customer digital banking issues promptly
- Support onboarding of customers onto digital platforms and provide guidance on product features and self-service options
- Conduct stakeholder engagements and provide training or awareness sessions on digital banking products where required
- Analyse data from digital banking systems to identify growth opportunities, gaps, and areas for improvement
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Sales and Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in digital banking, transactional banking, or digital channels sales within the banking industry
- Sound understanding of CBK regulatory requirements and frameworks applicable to digital financial services
- Familiarity with banking AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations and financial reporting standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder engagement
Desirable:
- CPA-K (Certified Public Accountant — Kenya) or professional Sales certification
- Experience with bank operations systems and familiarity with data analysis tools
- Prior experience in a pan-African or international banking environment
Skills and Competencies
- Commercial awareness — understanding of digital channel revenue drivers and sales metrics in Kenyan banking
- Analytical ability — comfortable interpreting digital banking data and turning it into actionable insight
- Compliance orientation — working knowledge of CBK regulations, KYC, and AML frameworks
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-driven with the ability to manage targets and timelines independently
