About the Role
The Community Engagement Intern will support Brooke East Africa’s field teams in implementing community-driven equine welfare initiatives. The intern will contribute to community needs assessments, strengthening community-based structures, data collection, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across active programme areas.
What You Will Do
- Conduct community needs assessments and support follow-up actions arising from findings
- Strengthen community-based structures to enhance local ownership and sustainability of equine welfare initiatives
- Support data collection, reporting, and development of learning materials across programme activities
- Engage with partners and stakeholders during field activities to promote community participation and programme impact
What They Are Looking For
- Degree in Community Development, Sociology, Communications, or a related field
- Interest or experience in community engagement and grassroots development work
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently in the field
