If you are a qualified Health Records & Information Management professional with hands-on SHA experience, Nanyuki Cottage Hospital is hiring a Health Records & Information Management Officer 2026 to join their clinical support team. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nanyuki, serving one of the most established hospitals in the Mount Kenya region. Apply as soon as possible — the position may close early.
About This Role
This position sits at the heart of the hospital’s clinical and administrative operations. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of patient health records across both manual and electronic systems, ensuring that documentation is accurate, complete, and retrievable when needed. Given the hospital’s busy multi-specialty environment, attention to detail and consistency are non-negotiable.
A significant part of this role involves Social Health Authority (SHA) claim processing, verification, and reconciliation — meaning you need to be familiar with how SHA operates and the documentation standards it requires. You will work closely with clinicians, nurses, and administrative staff to close documentation gaps and keep claims moving without delays.
This role suits someone who is comfortable working in a fast-moving healthcare setting, understands the weight of data confidentiality, and takes pride in getting the paperwork right — because accurate records directly affect patient care and hospital revenue.
