A senior finance leadership opportunity has opened up through ThinkPeople, one of Kenya’s active HR and recruitment firms. They are hiring a Head of Accounting and Finance on behalf of their client — a role designed for a seasoned finance professional ready to oversee all accounting functions and drive strategic financial decision-making at the highest level. The deadline to apply is 27 April 2026, so act now.
About This Role
This is a Head of Accounting and Finance Kenya 2026 position that goes well beyond day-to-day bookkeeping. You will be the financial anchor of the organisation — responsible for the integrity of all accounting and financial reporting processes, ensuring the business stays financially healthy, compliant, and strategically sound. You will work directly with Business Heads and Partners, translating numbers into decisions.
The role spans planning and analysis, investment management, compliance, and direct line management of the finance team. You will prepare board-level reports, lead budgeting cycles, oversee tax compliance, and support mergers and acquisitions where applicable. This is a role that demands both technical depth and executive presence.
This role suits someone who has spent at least 15 years building expertise in accounting and financial management, has led teams, and is equally comfortable in a boardroom as they are in the detail of a financial model.
