About This Embryologist Role
The Embryologist will be responsible for performing advanced embryology procedures independently, ensuring the highest laboratory quality standards, and working closely with IVF consultants and clinical teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The fertility clinic operates a full-service IVF program offering in vitro fertilization, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies (PGT-A), embryo culture, vitrification, and comprehensive fertility preservation services.

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties as an Embryologist will include:
Core Embryology Procedures
- Perform IVF (in vitro fertilization) procedures including oocyte identification, insemination, and fertilization assessment
- Execute ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) procedures with precision and accuracy
- Conduct PGT-A (preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidies) including embryo biopsy procedures
- Manage embryo culture from Day 0 through to blastocyst stage, monitoring development and quality grading
- Perform embryo cryopreservation using vitrification techniques and manage frozen embryo storage
- Conduct frozen embryo thaw procedures and embryo transfers
Laboratory Quality and Standards
- Ensure lab quality standards are maintained at all times in accordance with international embryology best practices
- Maintain strict protocol compliance for all embryology procedures
- Monitor and document laboratory conditions including incubator parameters, air quality, and equipment performance
- Participate in quality control programs and internal audits
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all embryology activities
Clinical Collaboration
- Work closely with IVF consultants and clinical teams to optimize treatment protocols
- Communicate embryology results and recommendations to clinicians in a timely manner
- Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and treatment planning discussions
- Provide expert embryology input on patient-specific treatment strategies
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintain precise lab documentation and records for all procedures performed
- Ensure accurate patient identification and sample tracking throughout all stages of treatment
- Complete embryology reports including fertilization rates, embryo development, and quality assessments
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with data protection regulations
Staff Development and Supervision

Required Qualifications
Education
- MSc (Master of Science) in Clinical Embryology, Reproductive Biology, or a closely related field
- Certification in Clinical Embryology from a recognized international body (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience as a practicing embryologist in a clinical IVF laboratory
- Proven track record of independently managing all stages of embryology procedures
- Demonstrated experience with IVF, ICSI, embryo culture, biopsy, and vitrification techniques
- Experience with PGT-A embryo biopsy procedures is highly desirable
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in micromanipulation techniques for ICSI and embryo biopsy
- Expertise in embryo grading systems and quality assessment
