Minet Kenya is hiring an Account Manager for Business Development at its Mombasa office. This is an insurance and risk solutions sales role within one of East Africa’s leading insurance brokerages.
About This Role
Minet Risk Solutions, the commercial division of Minet Kenya (AON Global Network Correspondent), needs a results-driven Account Manager to generate new business, grow the client portfolio, and retain existing accounts. You’ll work across industries, building relationships and hitting monthly and annual revenue targets in Mombasa’s commercial market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business growth strategies to drive revenue
- Identify, target, and build relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintain a credible pipeline of prospective clients and implement growth strategies to meet targets
- Articulate clear value propositions for different client segments and industries
- Create targeted sales and marketing plans aligned with business objectives
- Understand client needs and tailor insurance solutions accordingly
- Contribute to product development and creation of marketing collateral
- Support development of diverse product distribution channels
- Develop and manage a calendar of marketing campaigns
- Maintain and strengthen existing client relationships to protect the book of business
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly production reports
- Ensure timely collection of premiums for all introduced business
Requirements

- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and networking skills
- Energetic, confident, proactive, and results-oriented
- Excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing business environments
- Proven sales management experience with a strong track record of hitting targets
Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Diploma in Insurance — IIK or CII required
