About This Role
TCI Global’s Secretariat needs structured writing and documentation support across seven reports covering disability rights, psychosocial inclusion, and deinstitutionalization. Key Tasks
- Draft, edit, and write reports and short documents from existing internal materials
- Organise notes, minutes, transcripts, and links into clean records with tracked changes
- Conduct desk research to fill data and policy information gaps
- Maintain weekly check-in calls and email updates with the Secretariat team
Specific Deliverables — 7 Documents
1. TCI Plenary Report (30–32 pages) A conference report from TCI’s 2024 Plenary event. Reference materials include concept notes, documentation notes, and panel video recordings.
2. Country Mission Reports — 5 reports (20–22 pages each) Reports covering five country mobilisation visits across 2023–2024, focused on engaging movements of persons with psychosocial disabilities. Reference materials include concept notes, documentation notes, and photographs.
3. Deinstitutionalization Webinar Report (already drafted) A 4-part webinar series report from 2021 that needs restructuring, editing, and polishing into final form.
All seven reports must include: table of contents, list of abbreviations, executive summary, introduction, key highlights, conclusions, recommendations, and annexes/references.
Cross-cutting deliverables for all reports:
- Google Drive folder of organised materials and source links per report
- Weekly progress tracker (Google Sheets or Excel)
- Clean final versions in Google Docs or Word with tracked changes where requested
- Full reference list for all cited sources
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years in disability rights or inclusion documentation — OR writing samples demonstrating CRPD-aligned drafting
- Strong report drafting and editing skills — ability to structure long documents and synthesise raw inputs into readable text
- Strong time management and ability to work to deadlines with iterative feedback
- Comfortable handling sensitive and internal information with discretion
- Basic referencing and fact-checking skills
- Preference given to persons with disabilities or those connected to the international disability movement
