What You’ll Do
Tasks vary by project but typically include one or more of the following:
- Annotation — labelling text, audio, images, or video for AI training
- Transcription — converting audio or video content into accurate written text
- Translation and Localisation — adapting content into Swahili for specific audiences
- Evaluation — rating AI-generated responses, sentences, or outputs for quality
- Content Creation — producing original Swahili text or conversational content
- Voice Recording — recording spoken Swahili for speech AI datasets
- Categorisation and Correction — organising and fixing linguistic data
All work is done remotely through Sigma’s online platform, accessible any time.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Fluent in Swahili — able to listen, read, and write accurately without spelling errors
- Fluent in English — same standard applies
- Basic computer skills
Preferred (not mandatory):
- Experience in data annotation or content rating
- Strong attention to detail
Technical Requirements
Computer:
- Minimum 4GB RAM
- Microphone and webcam
- Windows 10 or higher, or macOS 13 Ventura or higher
