About This Role
As Supply Chain Co-ordinator, you will manage end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, inventory management, supplier relationships, and policy compliance. You will work closely with clinical teams and management to ensure medical supplies and equipment are available when needed.
You will also lead vendor selection, negotiate contracts, monitor stock levels, and ensure compliance with healthcare procurement regulations. This role is critical in supporting hospital operations and maintaining uninterrupted patient care services.
This position suits you if you are organized, analytical, and experienced in healthcare procurement or supply chain management. You should be comfortable working across departments and managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage procurement and supply chain strategies to support quality healthcare delivery
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers while maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Conduct market research, evaluate supplier bids, and manage tendering processes
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Oversee inventory management and maintain optimal stock levels
- Implement cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations
- Manage receiving, storage, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment
- Prepare procurement reports including expenditure tracking and supplier performance
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related field
- Professional certification such as KISM, CIPS, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain roles with 2 years in supervisory role
- Experience in healthcare procurement is an added advantage
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
- Good understanding of procurement policies and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated integrity and accountability
Desirable
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems
