About This Role
The Performance Management Intern will support JF Finance’s field operations by monitoring and overseeing the performance of Loan Officers across their school financing portfolio. JF Finance provides flexible school financing solutions including working capital, project and asset loans, school bus loans, and school fee loans for schools and parents across Kenya, Uganda, and beyond. This intern role sits at the intersection of field operations, data analysis, and credit portfolio management — offering genuine exposure to fintech lending operations in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Route Planning Oversight Monitor and optimise field officer routes to ensure efficient coverage of school clients and prospects across assigned regions.
Loan Officers’ Activity Monitoring Track and oversee daily activities of Loan Officers — call logs, school visits, client interactions, and pipeline updates — to ensure adherence to targets and standards.
Pipeline Management Maintain and update the loan application pipeline — tracking prospects from initial contact through to disbursement and ensuring no opportunities fall through the cracks.
Reporting & Analysis Compile and analyse performance data across the Loan Officer team — producing regular reports for management on activity levels, conversion rates, portfolio health, and efficiency metrics.
Portfolio Management & Collections Support monitoring of the active loan portfolio — tracking repayment schedules, flagging at-risk accounts, and assisting with collections follow-up activities.
Performance Follow-Up & Engagement Follow up with Loan Officers on outstanding tasks, target gaps, and client engagement activities — supporting a culture of accountability and consistent performance.
Compliance & Process Adherence Ensure Loan Officers are following JF Finance’s internal processes, credit policies, and regulatory requirements in all client interactions and documentation.
