About This Role
The RM Store Keeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, safeguarding, and issuing raw materials to production operations — ensuring inventory accuracy and uninterrupted supply at all times. You’ll work closely with the Receiving & Waste Control Officer, Production, and Finance departments, applying FIFO/FEFO stock rotation principles and maintaining records in both ERP and manual systems.
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Goods Verification
- Support inbound raw material receiving — verify quantities against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices
- Inspect incoming stock for damages, shortages, expiry dates, and quality issues
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and report discrepancies promptly
- Coordinate with the Receiving & Waste Control Officer on rejected or non-conforming materials
Storage & Stock Management
- Arrange and store raw materials systematically with proper labelling, binning, stacking, and suitable storage conditions
- Apply FIFO/FEFO stock rotation methods and maintain orderly storage practices
- Monitor stock levels and reorder points; conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts
- Issue raw materials to production only against approved requisitions
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Record all stock movements accurately in ERP and/or manual systems
- Reconcile physical stock with system balances and prepare inventory, variance, and ageing reports
- Maintain updated stock records at all times
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the store in line with safety procedures
- Use PPE, observe fire prevention guidelines, and safeguard stock against theft, pilferage, and unauthorised access
- Adhere to company policies and internal controls
Required Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a business-related field
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a storekeeper, inventory, or warehouse role — preferably in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
Key Skills
- Knowledge of stock control systems and ERP (added advantage)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
