AfterQuery — a Y Combinator-backed AI research lab — is hiring Remote Content Writers and Evaluators globally at $15 USD per hour on a flexible contractor basis. The role is 10–20 hours per week, fully remote, and open to qualified applicants worldwide. Domain experts in sports analytics, financial analysis, patent research, academic planning, or business intelligence are especially sought.
If you combine strong research skills with excellent English writing and want to contribute to cutting-edge autonomous AI development, this is a flexible, well-structured remote opportunity.
About This Role

Your work directly contributes to how next-generation AI systems reason, research, and respond across some of the most demanding analytical domains.
This is an Independent Contractor position with flexible scheduling — recommended at 10–20 hours per week — making it suitable as a primary income stream or a parallel commitment alongside other professional work.

Your application requires uploading a resume. Ensure your CV clearly highlights your domain expertise area, research skills, and any prior writing, annotation, or AI evaluation experience.
Tips for a Strong Application
Name your domain explicitly and early. AfterQuery is building evaluation scenarios across five specific domains — sports analytics, financial analysis, patent research, academic research, and business intelligence. Don’t just list “research skills” — name the specific databases, tools, and data sources you work with in your area. “I have 4 years of experience with SEC EDGAR filings and equity research reports” is far stronger than “I have financial analysis experience.”
Show your verification instincts. The role explicitly requires verifying information from authoritative sources. In your CV or cover note, give one specific example of a time you tracked down a primary source to verify a claim rather than relying on secondary summaries.
Demonstrate writing quality in your application. Every word you write during the application process is a sample of what you’ll produce on the job. Write cleanly, structure clearly, and avoid generic phrases.
Be honest about your weekly availability. AfterQuery recommends 10–20 hours per week. Overstating availability and then underdelivering is the fastest way to lose contractor status. Be accurate.
