About This Role
This role focuses on maintaining high standards in food safety and quality assurance across sourcing, processing, and oil production operations. You will ensure that all processes meet both local and international standards, including ISO and HACCP requirements.
You will work closely with production teams to monitor product quality and implement corrective measures where needed. This role suits you if you have strong experience in food processing, enjoy working with compliance systems, and can lead quality teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance and compliance systems across operations
- Conduct audits and ensure adherence to ISO and HACCP standards
- Monitor product quality parameters including dry matter, FFA, and PV testing
- Oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) processes
- Ensure compliance with Public Health, NEMA, and OSHA regulations in Kenya
- Supervise and train the quality assurance team
- Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and inspections
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in food processing quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of oil quality parameters and fruit maturity
- Experience working with regulatory compliance frameworks in Kenya
Desirable:
- ISO and HACCP certification
- Experience in avocado or edible oil processing industry
