About This Role
You will drive new insurance business for Stima Sacco’s brokerage arm by identifying clients, assessing their risk needs, and matching them with the right insurance products. This is a field-facing, relationship-driven role where your ability to prospect, pitch, and close matters as much as your product knowledge.
This role suits someone who is self-motivated, ethically grounded, and comfortable working across different client profiles — from individual members to business accounts. You will represent a licensed, trusted Sacco brand, which gives you a strong foundation for building long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement marketing strategies to sell new insurance contracts to both new and existing clients
- Contact and build rapport with potential clients through networking and referrals
- Assess client risk profiles and recommend suitable insurance protection plans
- Deliver approved policies to clients and clearly explain benefits and associated risks
- Submit client applications, issue quotes, and maintain up-to-date client records
- Prepare accurate reports and retain records of all brokerage transactions and sales
- Handle insurance claims follow-ups to reinforce client trust
- Conduct risk assessments for proposed and existing insurance products
- Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and best practices
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Diploma in Insurance from a recognised institution
- Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance — this is a firm requirement
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of insurance products across general and life lines
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Desirable:
- Diploma or degree in a business-related field
- Experience working within a Sacco, bank, or financial services environment
