Tacit Talents (K) Limited is hiring an Accountant – Collections on behalf of a reputable manufacturing company in Kenya.
About This Role
You’ll drive debt recovery for a consumer goods manufacturer through calls, emails, and field client visits. The role suits someone assertive, persistent, and comfortable engaging clients directly to secure payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively follow up on outstanding debts via calls, emails, and client visits
- Maintain accurate debtor records and prepare aging reports
- Resolve billing discrepancies and reconcile customer accounts
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed
- Negotiate and follow through on payment plans with defaulting clients
- Enforce credit policies and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms
- Provide regular collections performance and debtor status reports
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or debt collection
- Manufacturing sector experience is desired
- CPA Section III or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Comfortable with fieldwork and client visits
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and follow-up skills
