About This Role
The Transport and Logistics Assistant will coordinate logistical activities, manage transportation operations, maintain inventory, process purchases, and ensure smooth and efficient delivery of materials and services for events across Homeland Itoya’s portfolio. The role sits within the Logistics Department and is full-time, on-site in Nairobi County.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistical activities for events — corporate functions, VIP gatherings, weddings, themed parties, and community experiences
- Manage transportation operations and oversee vehicle service and material planning
- Maintain inventory and ensure efficient supply chain operations
- Process purchases and manage procurement of materials and services
- Deliver outstanding customer service throughout event logistics coordination
- Ensure timely reporting on all logistics matters
- Contribute to the successful execution of events while maintaining organisational standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant field — event industry experience is a plus
- Strong transport, logistics management, and inventory management skills
- Excellent customer service and organisational skills
- Proficiency in purchasing and planning of material or service requirements for vehicles
- Familiarity with transportation regulations in Kenya — an advantage
- Prior experience in a similar role or the logistics/events industry — advantageous
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field — preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite — advanced level is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic event needs
