Capstone Recruitment is sourcing UK-trained Quantity Surveyors for immediate relocation to the United States with leading international consultancies delivering large-scale hyperscale data centre projects. Visa sponsorship and full relocation assistance are provided. If you have a minimum of five years in Cost Management and are ready to take your QS career to the US market, this Quantity Surveyor USA Relocation Capstone 2026 opportunity is open now.
About This Role
These positions sit within internationally established consultancies operating at the forefront of the global data centre construction boom. Hyperscale data centres represent some of the most technically complex and commercially significant construction projects being delivered anywhere in the world right now — and these roles put you at the centre of that work.
You will be working across pre-contract and post-contract cost management functions on major schemes across the Midwest United States. The roles are based across three locations — Kansas City Missouri, Tulsa Oklahoma, and Omaha Nebraska — and come with full visa sponsorship and structured relocation support to get you settled in the US.
This is a genuine career step-change opportunity for an ambitious QS who wants international exposure, a strong salary package, and a foothold in the fast-growing US construction market.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-contract cost management services including cost planning, estimating, procurement strategy, and tender documentation on hyperscale data centre projects
- Manage post-contract commercial functions including valuations, variations, change management, and final account settlement
- Provide accurate and timely cost reporting to clients and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Engage directly with global clients, design teams, and contractors as the commercial lead on assigned project scopes
- Support business development and client relationship management within the consultancy’s US operations
- Mentor junior QS staff and contribute to the broader commercial team capability
- Maintain consistent, high-quality deliverables in line with the consultancy’s global standards and client expectations
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction economics field
- UK passport holder — required for the specific visa pathway being used for these relocations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Cost Management within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Strong pre-contract and/or post-contract capability — ideally both
- Consistent career history demonstrating progressive responsibility
- Single status at time of relocation (no unmarried dependants — this is a visa category requirement, not an employer preference)
- Open and committed to relocating to the Midwest United States
Desirable:
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
- Experience on data centre, mission critical, or large-scale commercial construction projects
- Prior international project exposure
Skills and Competencies
- Commercial acumen and confidence managing large project budgets independently
- Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to a new market, regulatory environment, and project delivery culture
- Meticulous attention to contract detail and cost reporting accuracy
- Ambition and resilience for a significant international career move
What Capstone and the Client Offer
- Attractive single-status salary packages — specific figures confirmed at interview stage
- Full US visa sponsorship provided
- Comprehensive relocation assistance covering your move to the Midwest US
- Structured career progression within established global consultancy businesses
- Exposure to technically challenging hyperscale data centre projects and global blue-chip clients
- Long-term pipeline of work given continued expansion of data centre programmes across the US
