Role Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and donor regulations, and promoting effective stewardship of organisational resources. The role supports the finance department in achieving efficient and transparent financial management across LIA’s international operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance, preferably within an NGO or international organisation
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Knowledge of donor-funded project accounting and financial reporting standards is an added advantage
