About Kenya Pipeline Company
Kenya Pipeline Company Limited is a State Corporation established on 6th September 1973 under the Companies Act (CAP 486) of the Laws of Kenya, and started commercial operations in 1978. The Company is 100% owned by the Government of Kenya and complies with the provisions of the State Corporations Act (Cap 446) of 1986. KPC is responsible for the transportation and storage of petroleum products across Kenya through an extensive pipeline network, playing a critical role in the country’s energy infrastructure and supply chain security.
Available Attachment Fields
1. Engineering Attachment students in Engineering will work alongside experienced engineers in the operation, maintenance, and management of KPC’s extensive pipeline infrastructure. You will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation engineering practices within the oil and gas sector, gaining practical skills in plant operations, equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and technical project support.
2. Finance / Accounting / Audit Finance attachees will support the finance department in budgeting, financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, internal auditing, and compliance with financial regulations. You will gain hands-on exposure to public sector financial management, treasury operations, and procurement finance in one of Kenya’s most important parastatals.
3. Human Resources / HR HR attachment students will support recruitment coordination, staff records management, payroll processing, employee relations, training and development coordination, and HR data management. This is an ideal opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields to build foundational HR skills in a structured corporate environment.
4. ICT / Computer ICT attachees will work within KPC’s technology division supporting the design, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems and infrastructure. Duties will include technical support, network administration, system documentation, cybersecurity awareness activities, and assisting with ICT project implementation. Ideal for students studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
5. Marketing & Communication Marketing and Communication attachees will support brand management, internal and external communications, corporate social responsibility activities, digital marketing, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Students pursuing degrees in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism will find this attachment highly relevant.
