Imarika DT Sacco is looking for a Sales Executive based in Kilifi on a full-time contract. If you hold a Diploma in a business-related field, have at least one year of sales experience, and want to grow your career at one of Kenya’s most established Coast-region Saccos, send your application before 2nd June 2026.
About This Role
This is a field-facing sales role where your core job is to grow Imarika DT Sacco’s membership base and deepen the financial participation of existing members. You will be out meeting people — potential members, community groups, employers — explaining the value of Sacco membership and helping them understand how saving with Imarika can improve their financial lives.
Day-to-day, you will be working against recruitment targets, opening new accounts, reactivating dormant ones, and promoting the full range of Sacco products. You will also contribute to marketing activities and submit regular reports on your progress. It is a role that combines hustle with genuine community impact — every member you bring in is one more person with access to affordable credit and a culture of saving.
This role suits someone who is confident, persuasive, and self-motivated. You need to be comfortable working independently in the field, building relationships quickly, and consistently hitting targets without someone standing over your shoulder.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit new members as per the set targets and within Imarika DT Sacco’s membership guidelines.
- Promote and cross-sell the Sacco’s full range of products and services to new and existing members.
- Represent Imarika DT Sacco professionally to all potential and current members in Kilifi and the surrounding area.
- Activate dormant member accounts and re-engage lapsed members.
- Contribute ideas for new products based on member feedback and emerging financial needs in the community.
- Support members in growing their investments and understanding the economic benefits of Sacco membership.
- Retain both new and existing members through consistent relationship management.
- Open new accounts and complete all associated account-opening documentation accurately.
- Produce and submit weekly and monthly sales reports to the relevant supervisor.
- Support the design and implementation of marketing programmes and promotional strategies.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Diploma in a business-related course
- Certificate in Sales Management
- At least one year of relevant sales or business development experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — Kiswahili fluency is a practical advantage in Kilifi
- Valid Kenyan national ID
Desirable:
- Membership or affiliation with the Marketing Society of Kenya
- Prior experience selling financial products — insurance, mobile money, banking, or Sacco products
- Familiarity with the Kilifi County market and its communities
Skills and Competencies
- Member recruitment and relationship management — you build trust quickly and maintain it
- Sales target discipline — you track your own numbers and take responsibility for your pipeline
- Financial product knowledge — able to explain loan products, savings accounts, and dividends in plain language
- Community engagement — comfortable working with diverse groups including farmers, traders, and employees
- Report writing — produces clear, accurate weekly and monthly sales summaries
- Brand representation — you understand that every interaction reflects on the Sacco’s image
