Greenspoon — Kenya’s fastest-growing online supermarket and a certified B Corp — is hiring a Graduate Management Trainee for Operations. The deadline is 31 May 2026. This is a hands-on, rotational programme for recent graduates ready to learn the full engine room of a scaling e-commerce operation — from warehouse floor to delivery routes to cold chain quality.
About This Role
The GMT will rotate through all core operational functions — Receiving, Warehousing, Picking, Logistics, Delivery, and Quality Operations — spending meaningful time in each before specialising. In every rotation you’ll own a real project from start to finish, present findings to leadership, and implement changes yourself with the ground team.
The contract is initially one year. Successful trainees are offered a permanent role with a clear progression path to Team Lead, Supervisor, and Management positions.
Rotation Areas
- Receiving: Inbound goods control, supplier accuracy, putaway, cold chain compliance
- Warehousing: Stock accuracy, layout optimisation, replenishment, storage conditions
- Picking: Order accuracy, picker productivity, batching strategies, substitution rates
- Logistics: Route planning, fleet utilisation, dispatch scheduling, last mile cost
- Delivery: On-time performance, driver coaching, customer experience, returns management
- Quality Operations: Food safety, traceability, temperature monitoring, continuous improvement audits
What You’ll Learn
- Lean and Six Sigma tools for waste reduction, variation control, and structured problem solving
- Leading and developing frontline teams in high-pressure environments
- Root cause analysis, process design, and operational KPI management
- Translating strategy into daily standards, routines, and team behaviours
You’ll have a personal development budget for courses, certifications, and relevant books.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Excellent academic achievement
- 0–2 years of work experience
- Comfortable working early mornings, late evenings, and weekends
- Ready to work in a fast-paced, physical environment
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies — a plus, not required
Key Traits: Innovative problem-solver, leadership potential, disciplined, consistent, resilient, strong communicator, hands-on attitude, and willingness to speak up and challenge the status quo.
Salary & Location
Not disclosed. Confirm package at interview. On-site role in Nairobi — warehouse, cold rooms, delivery routes, and receiving dock. This is not a desk job.
