Welo Global (Welo Data – AI Services) is running an open talent hub application for remote AI data workers worldwide — covering annotation, data labelling, quality rating, NLP, translation, and related AI training tasks. This is a rolling intake with no closing date, open to applicants across all regions including Europe, Singapore, and worldwide locations.
If you have any experience in data annotation, proofreading, linguistic quality assurance, or AI content review — or you’re building a career in the AI data services industry — this is one of the more structured talent pipelines currently available globally.
About This Opportunity
Welo Global is building an English-language talent hub to supply trained, qualified contributors to ongoing AI data projects. Rather than hiring for a single specific task, this application places you into Welo’s talent pool across multiple skill levels — from entry-level data labelling through to advanced machine learning support, workflow design, and large-scale project management.
Your application is assessed across four skill levels (L1 through L4), so both beginners and experienced AI data professionals can apply within the same process.
What You Could Be Working On
Depending on your skill level and language profile, Welo Global projects typically involve:
- Data labelling and annotation — tagging text, image, audio, and video datasets for AI training
- AI-generated content review — evaluating and rating outputs from large language models
- Proofreading and editing — reviewing content for accuracy, grammar, and fluency
- Quality rating — assessing search results, AI responses, or digital content for relevance and quality
- Image and video tagging — labelling visual datasets for computer vision models
- Linguistic quality assurance — reviewing translated or localised content for accuracy
- NLP annotation — advanced natural language processing tasks for AI training pipelines
- Data validation, cleaning, and organisation — ensuring dataset integrity and consistency
- Workflow creation and optimisation — for experienced contributors at L3–L4 level
- Predictive analytics and AI evaluation — senior-level tasks for qualified data scientists and ML practitioners
Skill Levels Explained
Welo Global assesses applicants across four tiers:
L1 — Foundation Skills Data labelling, annotation, proofreading, editing, quality rating, data entry, keyword research and tagging, AI content review, image/video tagging, social media engagement, and analytic interpretation.
L2 — Intermediate Skills Data validation and quality assurance, data organisation and cleaning, scripting and automation, data analysis and reporting, and image/video/text data processing.
L3 — Advanced Skills Data annotation leadership, workflow creation and optimisation, insights generation, machine learning support, multi-modal data processing, advanced NLP annotation, predictive analytics, large-scale project management, and taxonomy development.
L4 — Expert Skills Workflow design, standard compliance, dataset creation, strategic project management, predictive modelling, API integration and automation, optimisation at scale, and AI evaluation.
You don’t need skills at all four levels — apply with whatever combination you have and Welo will match you to appropriate projects.
For professionals building AI data annotation credentials, Appen’s contributor resources and Scale AI’s platform documentation provide useful industry context on annotation standards and how AI training data pipelines work in practice.
Language Requirements
This is the English Talent Hub — strong English proficiency is the primary language requirement. The application assesses your English level on the CEFR scale from A1 to C2. B2 (Upper Intermediate) is typically the practical minimum for AI content review and quality rating tasks; C1–C2 is preferred for NLP annotation and linguistic QA roles.
You’ll also be asked to indicate proficiency in your native language and any other languages you speak fluently — multilingual contributors are often matched to higher-value localisation and translation projects.
Required Qualifications
There are no hard degree or experience requirements for entry-level L1 roles. The application captures your current skill set and experience across all four levels — Welo matches you to projects accordingly.
What strengthens your application:
- Any experience in data labelling, annotation, translation, proofreading, or linguistic QA — even informal or academic
- Familiarity with annotation tools or platforms
- A degree in any relevant field (linguistics, computer science, social sciences, humanities)
- Multilingual proficiency — especially in less common language pairs
- Prior work with AI platforms such as Appen, Remotasks, Clickworker, Toloka, or similar
