Your Impact and Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the finance and accounting team to ensure our operations meet the highest international standards. Your key focus areas will include:
- Financial Integrity & Reporting: Lead the preparation and review of balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, monthly management accounts, and statutory audited financial statements compliant with IFRS.
- Strategic Support: Prepare board papers, MD reports, and ad hoc analysis to support senior management decision-making.
- Compliance & Audit: Coordinate internal and external audit processes and drive the implementation of audit recommendations.
- Tax Management: Ensure full local tax compliance, including periodic returns and direct correspondence with the KRA.
- Planning & Agility: Support the budget and forecasting process, monitoring actual performance against targets and providing detailed variance commentary to regional and group management.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an analytical professional with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate across complex environments.
- Qualifications: A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management and a CPA (K) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: At least five years of experience in Finance and Accounting, including at least two years in a management position.
- Audit Background: A minimum of five years of experience within a Big 4 Audit Firm is required.
- Professional Standing: Must be a Registered ICPAK Member.
- Technical Excellence: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with knowledge of SAP (or equivalent ERP systems) and the Google Suite.
